Food sovereignty doesn't just save you money and give you piece of mind. Done right, it reduces your carbon footprint and provides you with nutritious food, without the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers.
At Plan B, Self-Sufficiency we are passionate about helping you grow your own food, while improving the health of your soil. We create compost using dry matter and manure from our animals, and fertilise our soil with alpaca and chicken manure.
We have always been bothered by the amount of plastic waste created every time we added a bag of compost to our vegetable patch, or planted fruit trees and seedlings. All of our seedlings and fruit trees are grown in biodegradable bags making growing your own food a truly environmentally friendly activity. These bags also stop our trees and seedlings becoming root bound and can be planted straight into the soil so the roots aren't disturbed.
Follow our Facebook page to be inspired and supported to start on your own path to self-sufficiency.
Whether you have 10,000 square metres or 200 you will be surprised by how much food you can grow.
